How To Prevent Migraine

Migraine is one of headache types. Generally, it attacks half of our head. It can be left head or right head. This disease is characterized with pain or an ache in the head.
One of migraine’s causes is temporary of permanent constriction or widen in half of blood vessel in the brain. Migraine is often formed as hereditary disease. In this case, blood vessels in the brain easily widen or constricted because of stimulation from something “hereditary”.
The “trigger” factors of migraine can be psychological shock, over anxiety, low blood sugar level, and depression. And it can be the effect of certain food allergy too, inappropriate change of diet that affect to body, drastically change of climate or change of daily lifestyle.
There are some symptoms that often follow migraine, such as over sensitive eyes to the sunlight, feeling as if there is pressure to eyes or sinus cavity in face.
There are two head disorder types, classical migraine and common migraine. On classical migraine, beside pain or headache on half of head, it is also marked by dazzling when sunlight enters the eyes. Or, if the eyes contact with the dazzling light, headache will be severe (migraine patients often close their eyes). Or the patient is very sensitive to the loud sound.
While on common migraine, beside of pain or headache to the half of head, it is also followed by nausea, over pain that is often followed by depression symptoms or easy to get angry. Face looks pale, swollen, and sweated. Migraine attack can happen in hours or days.
One of migraine variations can be as cluster headaches. It is identically same as migraine, but it can attacks immediately and severe. The effects are sweat and tears cannot come out.
Migraine can attack the elders. Generally to the elders, migraine emerges because of trigger factors, such as calcification on brains blood vessels, psychological factors (anxiety), or disorder to the eyes. It’s definitely beside of hereditary factor.
When migraine is attacking, the medical interventions to prevent symptom are needed. Even, to cluster headaches, oxygen is needed to decrease headache. The medical interventions are considered to be given according to its trigger factor. Beside that, medication by using vitamins is probably needed although it will take a long time.
There are some prevention methods. The first is dietary management. Fish oil, ginger, lobster, oysters, need to be consumed regularly and periodically. Avoid consuming food or beverage that contains preservatives including red wine, raisin, chocolate, peanuts, cheese, yoghurt, and cream. And also nitrate, MSG (monosodium glutamate) and citrus fruits.
For vitamin, it needs supplementation or food intakes that contain A vitamin and B complex vitamin. While for mineral, food or beverage that contains many zinc and magnesium need to be added.
